PT. Astra Honda Motor is JV in between Japanese motorcycle-maker Honda Motor Co and local automotive firm, PT. Astra International with 50-50 ownership. AHM now controls over 50% of the Indonesian market share. This is the third plant and inaugurated on 30 Sept 2005 by President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono with production capacity of 1 million units a year. Build on the area of 30 hectares in Cikarang, West Java about 30 km east of Jakarta with establishment of the 140 million USD plant. PT. Kruger Ventilation Indonesia gave a good contribution to AHM's engineer during design stage.
