The Hong Kong–Zhuhai–Macau Bridge (HZMB) is the world’s longest sea crossing and open-sea fixed link, which is connected the three mentioned major cities on the Pearl River Delta. The 55-kilometre-long bridge which has a tunnel system, consists of a series of three cable-stayed bridges, 5.6-kilometre undersea tunnels and four artificial islands. The construction cost is at USD 18.8 billion and is designed to last for 120 years.
