The Jurong Rock Caverns (JRC) is the first underground rock cavern for oil storage in Southeast Asia owned by Jurong Town Corporation. It is located at a depth of 130 metres beneath Banyan Basin on Jurong Island, the 61-hectare (150-acre) caverns. The JRC will store 1.47 million m3 of liquid hydrocarbons such as crude oil and condensate.
